/// Pager Could Bring a Doctor to Your Home
An engineer behind Uber is trying to help people get the medical help they need without leaving the house. The Wall Street Journal recently reported that Pager is the latest tool in the field of telemedicine.
It is a mobile app that should make it easy for you to see a doctor at home. It works like this: “You open Pager and hit a button to call up a doctor. A few possible options appear on your mobile screen — splash pages showing doctors’ pictures, specialties, credentials and fees. You pick the doctor you want. Within five minutes, a board-certified doctor will call you.” If you only need to talk to a doctor on the phone, you pay $50. If the doctor comes to your house, you pay $300.
