If the sale of Tumblr to Yahoo made you nervous, you can breathe a sigh of relief. The New York Times reported that Tumblr’s founder, David Karp, has no regrets when it comes to the decision to sell the site to Yahoo.
In fact, Tumblr’s audience is still growing, and its staff has doubled since the sale, too. Plus, the site has remained pretty independent despite Yahoo buying it and providing the necessary resources to keep it up and running. Of course, the founder still has to figure out how to make it a little more profitable in the future. Native advertising could be in the works, in which the “goal is to get brands to understand the appeal of Tumblr and then pay for premium placement on Tumblr’s products.”
