If you are self employed and work from home, you will notice there are some drawbacks that balance out the advantage of not having a commute. A LinkedIn post addressed some of them and provided some solutions you might be interested in.
One of the most important points is to create a schedule. Otherwise you will find it hard to get your work done. Getting dressed and working in a separate room – rather than from your laptop on the couch – can also help. Additionally, make time to stay social; that means getting out of the house for coffee or even simply meeting your friends for lunch once in a while.
