Chet Fenster, Managing Partner MEC
Chet has led MEC’s Content discipline (formerly MEC Entertainment), which specializes in entertainment strategy and original content creation, to the forefront of branded content since its launch in 2006. Working across languages, genres, and platforms, he and his team guide the development of creative and effective branded entertainment and content partnerships to deliver genuinely integrated solutions for the agency’s clients.
Anchored in the fundamental belief that advertisers need to think more like programmers, Chet has helped clients such as AT&T, Citi, Macy’s, and IKEA use content, pop culture, and social media forge deeper connections with consumers.
Through this approach, MEC has developed and produced television programs for MTV, CBS, NBC, Telemundo, Univision, and A&E, ranging from reality shows to animated movies. In addition, the team has created web series, mobile content, and trans- media programming with Google, MSN, AOL and more.
Prior to joining MEC, Chet was a television producer and network programming executive. He was president of Kinetic Pictures for five years, a Los Angeles based Production Company he co-founded, and held various positions at Fuse, Disney Channel, and FOX.
