Strategy Director for North America, Contagious Insider
After graduating from Oxford University with a First class degree in English Literature, Arwa went to law school and practiced at Slaughter and May in London. She then traded law for communications and spent three years on the prestigious WPP Fellowship. During this time she worked across strategy, branded entertainment and social media at Ogilvy (London and New York) and at the Campaign Palace (Sydney). During her time in Sydney she appeared on the prime time ABC show ‘The Gruen Transfer’ and was chosen to represent Australia at AdFest 2011 in Thailand where she was a finalist in the Young Lotus competition.
In her role as North American Strategy Director for Contagious Communications, Arwa works across a broad range of consultancy projects. These include innovation briefings, thought-leadership initiatives, and prototyping workshops for a number of Fortune 500 companies. She also contributes to the quarterly magazine and delivers trend presentations on topics as broad as ‘the new loyalty’, ‘future of retail’ and ‘experiencing economy.’
Arwa is a recipient of a 2011 WPP Atticus Award. She also regularly contributes articles to The Guardian on technology, popular culture and marketing and has appeared as a commentator on Sky News, Russia Today, and CBC Radio.
