Matthew Semel is a founding partner at New York based film production company, Cowboy Bear Ninja, and is a director and producer working on commercials and entertainment projects. He specializes in comedy, animation and visual effects driven work.

Matthew has produced work for clients including Oxygen, Greenpeace, and the Washington Post. As a director, he has made videos with Tracy Morgan, Mario Batali, Seth Green, Andrew WK, and Felicia Day. He also directs the Shorty Awards, an annual awards show honoring the best of social media.

He was the director and co-creator of Flip Flops, a web-series for Nickelodeon that chronicles the adventures of Molly and Kat, two high school best friends who love to get into trouble. Matthew studied Film & Television Production at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
