Juniper Networks Inc.’s third-quarter profit more than quadrupled as the network-gear company recorded an uptick in revenue and lower expenses. Juniper — along with rival F5 Networks Inc., which reports third-quarter results Wednesday — reported signs of weaker demand earlier this year. Juniper on Tuesday, however, suggested that markets are improving, with Chief Executive Kevin Johnson saying the company continues to see strong demand from its service-provider customers and is gaining traction in enterprise sectors.
