The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will ride again in 2014, as Fox has renewed its freshman hit Sleepy Hollow for a second season. As is the case with the current order, Season 2 will consist of 13 episodes. Since premiering to 10.1 million viewers and a 3.5 rating among adults 18-49, Sleepy Hollow has proved to be the new season’s most reliable performer. Per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data, the show has the highest retention of all freshman series, holding onto 86 percent of the dollar demo. When three days of DVR playback are baked into the L+SD data, the Sleepy Hollow premiere drew 13.6 million viewers and a 5.0 in the demo, making it Fox’s most successful fall drama premiere since the debut of 24 in November 2001.
