Groupon is continuing to build out its restaurant-focused services, acquiring social gifting app Plumfare, a Groupon spokesperson confirmed. Plumfare prompts restaurant goers to photograph a drink or food item and then send it to a friend as a symbol of a gift. Plumfare, which launched last year, then takes a cut of the transaction when the gift recipient redeems it. VentureBeat first reported the acquisition.
