/// Liberal Media Watchdog Decries Clinton Specials
Talk about the most unlikeliest of political allies: Liberal media watchdog Media Matters agrees with the Republican National Committee that NBC and CNN should cancel their special programming on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. In letters sent Tuesday to NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Breenblatt and CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker, Media Matters founder David Brock wrote that he supported RNC chairman Reince Priebus' letters sent Monday to the same two executives. Preibus threatened to pull support for debates on the networks unless both media outlets cancel the Clinton programming. The timing of the projects, Brock wrote, “could concide with a potential Clinton presidential campaign” and “raises too many questions about fairness and conflicts of interest ahead of the 2016 election.” NBC recently announced plans to run a miniseries about Clinton and CNN said it was producting a documentary. Clinton has yet to declare her intention to run for office.
