James Windon is a silicon valley marketer and entrepreneur, currently working as Head of Revenue at Causes.com. Formerly Facebook Causes, Causes.com is the world’s largest platform for social good, having raised over $50M for charity and boasting over 180 million registered members.
At Causes, James oversees all business development and revenue operations, including brand sales, marketing and partnerships. He focuses his work on helping Fortune 500 companies leverage new technologies and media in their social media and social good marketing efforts, working with brands like Toyota, Coca-Cola, AT&T, Dell and Anheuser Busch. James is a noted speaker and writer on the intersection of social good, social networks and policy. He has spoken at the leading conferences on corporate citizenship and social media, and has been published in numerous marketing and social media journals. In addition to his work at Causes, James advises a diverse portfolio of startups in the social good, loyalty, e-commerce and advertising space.
Prior to joining Causes.com, James was a practicing attorney, working in public international law at the World Trade Organization in Switzerland, and corporate law at Allens-Linklaters, a leading law firm in Australia. He holds law degrees from Georgetown and Sydney Universities and has passed the bar in both NSW and New York. He currently lives in Brooklyn.
