With an auto mechanic as its patriarch, the family of the suspected Boston Marathon bombers arrived in Cambridge, Mass., around 2002, assisted by a leader of the local Chechen community who helped finance their relocation, said a friend of the family that rented a flat to them. The suspects — brothers Tamerlan Tsarnayev, 26 years old, and Dzhokhar Tsarnayev, 19 — were identified Friday as suspects in Monday’s bombings. Authorities said Tamerlan Tsarnayev was killed in a confrontation with police in Watertown, Mass. An intense manhunt was under way for Dzhokhar Tsarnayev. Both were believed to be involved in the fatal shooting of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus police officer during a chaotic series of events Thursday night.
