Image by Joy of Tech The escalation of Apple’s patent battle with Samsung continues apace, its breadth seemingly limited only by the current size of the pair’s product lines. After successfully moving to have the iPhone 5 added to its claims against Apple, Samsung last week asked to add the iPod touch 5, iPad 4, and iPad mini as well . Predictably, Apple has responded in kind, filing a motion to expand its own claims to include a number of recent Samsung products. In a tit-for-tat filing made late last week, Apple asked the U.S. District Court in San Jose to add the Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S III with Android 4.1, Galaxy S III mini, Samsung Rugby Pro, Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wi-Fi and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 to its patent infringement lawsuit against the South Korean company.
