It’s Friday. A good day to take off early for weekend trips, for slacking off at work and, of course, for announcing employee exits. Add a few employees from Twitter to this week’s departure list. Mark McBride and Cynthia Johanson spent their last day at Twitter on Friday, saying their goodbyes to the company in a series of tweets . The departures come on the heels of more exits as recent as last week, when New York engineering manager Ori Allon left the company , as well as a handful of designers and engineers. This follows some shuffling of other talent among departments, including a spate of new hires for the design, security and engineering teams. McBride ends his three-year tenure at the company most recently as an engineering manager in charge of “maximizing developer productivity” (so says his LinkedIn profile), with previous positions working on different areas of the company’s API and platform. McBride’s new gig: A position at Nest , the high-end thermostat start-up run by ex-Apple iPod guru Tony Fadell
