/// NY Second In Tech Sector Job Growth
NY ranks second only to San Francisco in terms of the growth of jobs in its tech sector over the last two years. According to ”Tech-Twenty Office Markets,” a report conducted by CBRE Global Research and Consulting, high-tech service jobs soared 22% in NYC in the second quarter from the same period in 2010. This growth has also driven rents in midtown south up 24%. This growth is small compared to such places as Mountain View, CA or East Cambridge, MA, whose growth and prices are much higher. However, tech companies continue to come to NYC for the connection to the media and entertainment sectors.
