Canada-based design studio Acrylic announced Friday that founder and engineer Dustin MacDonald has been “acqhired” by Facebook. It’s a talent deal, which means Acrylic’s existing apps and technology — Pulp and Wallet — aren’t a part of the purchase, and will continue to be available (though not developed further). MacDonald will join the Facebook design team under Kate Aronowitz, the current Facebook director of design.
