Asus confirmed on Friday that it plans to address GPS reception issues with its Transformer Prime tablet by releasing a kit users can add to their existing tablet. The company said on Friday that it will officially announce its plans on April 16, at which time tablet owners can register on Asus’ Web site. “It needs around two weeks for the shipping after registration online,” Asus said in a statement to AllThingsD . Asus’ plan for a GPS-improving attachment was first mentioned earlier this week on the XDA developer forum. (The forum post appears to have been deleted.)
