Federal regulators dealt AT&T Inc. a setback late Monday night when the agency stopped its informal clock for reviewing AT&T’s $1.9 billion deal for some wireless licenses from Qualcomm Inc. because the deal raised similar issues to AT&T’s deal to acquire T-Mobile. The Federal Communications Commission’s decision to informally tie the two acquisitions together and review them simultaneously means that it could take significantly longer for Qualcomm to complete its deal than expected.
